Every year my dad will write his words of widsom on the back of my angbao.
I find this year's quote very meaninful.
"Chi - ren suo zhi bu neng
De - ren suo zhi bu neng"

Obviously I don't undersand what that bunch of chim chinese words meant la,
so I got him to explain. He says it meant that
"if I can endure what other people can't endure
I will gain what other people can't gain."

Reunion dinner

Too bad Alvin can't be here in Singapore to have the reunion dinner with us.

The Chinese will "sou ye" on CNY so that their parents will live to a ripe old age.
It's not that I'm not filial horrrr, just tooo tired plus I've got a whole list of house and temples to visit tmmr so I guess I better turn in "early".

Countdown

This is the first shot of 2009! I'll get the rest from Terence when school reopens :)
I spent my last one hour staring into deep deep space recollecting
and my last 5 minutes sitting in a circle with the guys while each of us took turns rushing through our resolutions.
Everyone wants more money and of cause good health!

I tell you the scene yesterday was really dam nice.
Imagine a warmly lit cruise in the background and somewhere right above all the cable cars were glowing. And as I lie down looking above at the clouds and stars I feel the wind. So shiok!
